For ultimate security: macmon Network Access Control (NAC) solution receives BSI security certificate
The NAC solution from macmon secure GmbH fulfils the high BSI security criteria (EAL2+) as per the Common Criteria
In order to satisfy the elevated security requirements of our customers and partners and gain their trust, as well as meet our own high standards, we subjected our security software to external testing. Following extensive testing by an independent auditor, macmon secure is now in possession of the prestigious BSI certificate. The Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) has issued macmon secure GmbH with a BSI certificate (certification ID number BSI-DSZ-CC-0738-2015) for its Network Access Control solution, macmon NAC, in accordance with the globally applicable requirements of the Common Criteria (CC). macmon NAC is EAL2+ (Evaluation Assurance Level) certified. This certificate verifies that macmon secure provides a NAC solution that corresponds with NAC-specific security regulations and generally accepted security criteria.
This result shows that our solution meets the very strict criteria set by the federal authorities and that we provide our customers with a level of security that goes far beyond the market standard, offering them reliable protection against attacks. macmon secure is currently the only pure NAC solution provider with a BSI certificate.
As a result, customers and partners of macmon secure GmbH can rely even more on compliance with the very highest demands of information security. Certification according to CC even enjoys the highest level of recognition at public-sector clients. The BSI security certificate for IT products, known as the "Deutsches IT-Sicherheitszertifikat" (German IT security certificate), is recognised by numerous countries as part of international recognition agreements.
The modules required for certified use are all included in the new macmon Certified Bundle. This also enables customers to find macmon in the BSI basic protection catalogue, listed according to BSI certification and recommendation, and make use of our services. Other options include, for example, intelligent mixed operation with 802.1X, dynamic rules with AD and LDAP connection, as well as a convenient graphical topology display. Together with the simple set-up and use, combined with development exclusively in Germany, this makes for an overall package that is unique to the market.
